Along with duplicating an element, we can copy the style. It’s super helpful when we want to overwrite an element in a component.

1. Select element you want to copy. Press Ctrl/Cmd + Option + C to copy element’s style (color, shadow, border radius,…)
2. Select destination element, Press Ctrl/Cmd + Option + V to pasted

1. Select a shape then drag your gif to fill it.
2. Click “Present” and watch your prototype come to life

Alternatives ways, you can use Lottie file for Figma to add all Lottie animationsor add your own lottie files.

If you double-click the edge of a Text layer’s frame, it will change text resizing to ‘auto-resize’ — which can be really helpful in certain situations

Every time we add a new text element, Figma set the default color to #000000, which is very dangerous when we don’t pay attention to change color. Because it’s not in our color palette.

To set the default color for our text.

1. Add a new text with a color we want.
2. Go to the Menu “Edit -> Set Default Properties”
3. Done. Now every time we add new text, the style match without Design System colors.

Did you know you can open multiple windows in the desktop client? ⇧ + ⌘ + N (Mac) or ⇧ + Ctrl + N (Win).

Handy for working in the same file at different zoom levels or pixel preview settings at the same time.

While dragging an object, you can hold ⌘ (Mac) to force an object to nest inside of a frame.

To prevent an object from being nested, hold the Spacebar while dragging.

In Figma, we can go back in time to a previous version.

1. Click chevron icon on top or go to File -> Show Version History
2. Right-click on a version you want to restore
3. Click Restore this version or “Duplicate” as a safer option.

1. Build your layout block
2. “⌘ + C” any image, or on web, right click and select “Copy image”
3. Select your block, shape, vector.
4. Press “⌘ + V” to paste image.
5. Repeat as necessary
